This traditional conference, preceded by a workshop for students, took place in Hammamet (Tunisia) and was organized by IMACM member Prof. Barbara Rüdiger together with colleagues from Dublin City University, Ecole Polytechnique, Ghent University, Linnaeus University, Tunis El Manar University, the University of Amsterdam, the University of Wuppertal and the University of Oslo. The event was partly funded by the DAAD. The conference is now a regular event, which originated more than 20 years ago through the commitment of Habib Ouerdiane and his desire to bridge and discuss the new trends in the interplay of analysis, probability and their applications. The conference took place from October 16 to 20, 2023 and commemorated Professor Ouerdiane, who passed away suddenly in March of this year and had already laid the foundation for this year's event.

Two Master's students of mathematics from Wuppertal, Lina Landwehr and Lea Sophie Meissner, report:
"We had the unique opportunity to take part in the intensive one-week training course at the University of Tunis el Manar as well as in the subsequent conference in Hammamet. We also used the free time at the weekend to explore the fascinating city of Tunis.
In the run-up to the trip, each of us had prepared a poster and a presentation on our respective bachelor's theses. During the course, we worked on these further together with seven other students from Tunis. The hints on how to prepare scientific presentations and the opportunity to practice self-criticism through the video recordings of our presentations made by Mr. Ralf Silberkuhl were particularly valuable.
After a final presentation, we were both selected to present our papers at the conference in addition to the poster presentation. This experience was not only professionally enriching, but also allowed us to make new international contacts.
We are grateful for this unique opportunity that Prof. Dr. Rüdiger made possible for us. This trip will undoubtedly be remembered as an important point in our academic careers."
