"SFB-Retreat" on February 05 - 07

The designated PIs for the planned collaborative research center on port Hamiltonian systems met for a three-day retreat at Landhaus Nordhelle.

Far away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, this retreat in the "Sauerland" was a time of intense work.  On the agenda were content-related aspects with a focus on networking and the coordination of the procedure up to the submission of the full proposal and during the review process.  Based on its draft proposal, the University was invited by the DFG Senate to submit a full proposal at the end of last year.  The SFB idea and concept were born in the IMACM; 18 applicants from the IMACM will be joined by four external specialists from the technical universities of Berlin and Ilmenau and Trier University.  We all work towards taking the final hurdle in the review process scheduled for mid-September.
