05.05.2023|14:40 Uhr

The GAMM Annual Meeting 2023 will take place from 30th of May until 2nd of June in the historical City of Dresden. Birgit Jacob from IMACM will organize a minisymposium "Port-Hamiltonian systems" together with Paul Kotyczka (Technische Universität München)

GAMM defines itself as an interdisciplinary network for researchers from applied mathematics and mechanics as well as their sub- and neighboring fields. It was founded by Ludwig Prandtl and Richard von Mises in 1922. GAMM played a significant role in advancing hydro- and aerodynamics, solid mechanics, and numerical and industrial mathematics.

The GAMM annual convention, at which up to 1,200 participants meet up for a joint exchange of ideas, is complemented by direct interdisciplinary cooperation, which primarily takes place in expert committees. The promotion of early career researchers is at the heart of GAMM.
